What I like most about Tinder is that I know very little about someone, I just get a vibe from their pictures. This helps me because I sometimes rule people out because I know too much. (their politics, grammatical errors, etc). So, I enjoy this site.
Side note: I wonder if this is why I have so many stories? Because I don’t know much before we go out? Perhaps I should do a bit more research. But, I do like the adventures.
Anyway, I am out with a friend of mine in Chicago and she was curious about how Tinder works, so, we start checking out the talent immediately.
We find this good looking guy so I swiped right. His description below his picture said, “Please be normal.” I thought, I’ve got this!
We continue our night and low and behold, I get a notification I have a new message. We are excited to read it and I am also fired up to show my friend so she can see this dating site all the way through.
Hope you are all sitting down.
Here was his message, and my reply:
Tinder guy: Please take this as a compliment – as its intended. And, consider this just to try it out once. My wife and I are here in Chicago for the week – staying at the Four Seasons hotel off of Delaware. We’re looking for a woman to join us for fun. Would you be interested? Please don’t be offended, Just our thing…
Me: Not my thing. Good luck.
Lesson learned? People’s definition of normal vary greatly.
