I will admit, there are times I do things just for the story. This is one of them. I saw a guy last night at a Street Fest who I went out with months ago. He didn't see me so I could have just walked by without saying anything to him, but what fun would that be?

To refresh your memory, the chapter called "The Most Interesting Man in the World" ended with a ghosting situation. We had another date planned on a Sunday, and, he just blew me off. No call, no follow up, nothing. This type of scenario always surprises me.

I could understand ghosting if there were no future plans? But, if someone takes the time to ask you out again AND picked a specific date, there is no excuse in my book.

Well, as luck would have it, the Universe deposited this guy right in front of me. It was time to get to the bottom of it. Little did he know, his night was about to take a turn.

Sue: Hi, it's Sue, we went out a couple of months ago? (it was dark out and just wanted to be sure he recognized me).

TMIMITW: Oh, yes, Sue, so nice to see you, how are you?

Sue: Great, happy to be out and about again.

TMIMITW: By the way, sorry I never followed up with you.

Sue: Yes, that was not awesome. I don't understand why you wouldn't have just sent me a note saying that day didn't work anymore?

TMIMITW: Well, I am not even on that website anymore.

Sue: Right, but, before you went off the website, why wouldn't you have sent a message?

TMIMITW: I was having a tough time. The person who hired me at work was let go so I am not sure how much longer I will be there. Also, my son moved across the country so I had to drive him out West and that took a lot of time.

Sue: Right, but I still don't understand how that would prevent you from taking 5 seconds to send a message?

TMIMITW: I am sorry about that. I really had a great time with you. I would like to get together again if you would?

Sue: No, I am not interested in getting together again. But thanks.

Meanwhile, he is with his two dogs who are obsessed with me. It could be because I just came from a house with two dogs, but, they wouldn't leave me alone.

TMIMITW: My dogs really like you. That is so nice to see.

Sue: Yes, dogs always seem to like me (double entendre intended). Have a nice night!

Lesson Learned? It doesn't matter how old someone is, sometimes they need to be schooled a bit on dating. My hope is he thinks twice before doing this to someone else.
